WEINMAN MINERAL MUSEUM FIELDTRIP- We will be going on our fieldtrip on Wednesday from 9:00- 1:30. Part of the fieldtrip will be outside, so please listen to the weather and dress accordingly. A sack lunch and a drink will be provided for each student, however, students may bring their own lunch and/or drink in a disposable sack if they would like to. We will be visiting the gift shop as one of our stations. Students can bring money to purchase items from the gift shop. A suggested amount is no more than $10. Our chaperone for this field trip is Mrs. Hulsey.
100TH DAY- The 100th day of school is the day that we go on our field trip, so we are going to celebrate on the 101st day of school. Please have your child count and bring 101 small food items in a baggie on Thursday, Jan. 25th. We will pour all of our items into a big class bowl that we will share and eat for our snack. Examples: pretzels, Cheerios, M&M’s, peanuts, raisins, etc.
CLASSROOM NEEDS- We are on our last box of tissues. Please pick up an extra box the next time you go to the store if you can. We also need some Lysol wipes to clean off our desks. Items of the goodie drawer are always appreciated.
CRCT ONLINE REVIEW TESTS- A sheet with directions was sent home about a month ago. I will resend the directions with your child’s number this week. These online tests are very beneficial to the students. Please try a test when you receive the directions to make sure it will work for you at home. Let me know if you have any problems. I would like for each child to take at least one test a week in reading or math and send me the results starting the first week of February.
ACCELERATED READER- Please ask your child how he/she is doing with his/her AR goal. We are starting our third week of this nine week period. Has your child accomplished 1/3 or his/her goal?
MEDIA CENTER- We will be going to the Media Center to check out books on Tuesday. Please make sure that your library book is here that day. You can recheck it out or get a new one. Students should have a chapter book to read at all times.
