TURKEY TALE CELEBRATION- Many thanks to all of the parents who were able to come to our Turkey Tale Celebration. I hope you were as impressed with the students’ creativity and humor as I was. I thought they did a great job on the stories and disguising their turkeys. I also appreciate all of the food, drink, and paper donations. You all are the best!

SPELLING CONTRACT- Students were given a spelling contract today that we will be using for the next three weeks. Students are to choose 3 assignments each week that they would like to do. Once an activity has been chosen, it can not be used again. Students should put the date beside the activity as they complete it. We will all do the Dear Parent worksheet every Tuesday night.

GEOMETRY QUILT PROJECT- Students were given information today about a geometry quilt assignment that will be due on Tuesday, December 16th. I showed the students examples of what the final product should look like. We will be discussing the various geometry terms at school each day, but work on the quilt must be done at home.

HOLIDAY CRAFTS- If any parent is interested in coming into the classroom to do a holiday craft with the students, let me know! Parents are asked to bring the necessary supplies needed for the project. ( I have construction paper, glue, glitter, etc.) We can adjust the time to meet your schedule. If you’re interested, tell me what the project is, the amount of time needed, and a convenient day and time for you. We can do this any time from now until we get out for the winter break.
