Newsletter

NEWSLETTER MRS. TURNER JAN. 12-16

CLASSROOM NEEDS- We are running low on tissues and Lysol Wipes. We could also use some wrapped candy or other small goodies for the special drawers.

PLURALS PROJECTS- The students did a GREAT job on the Plurals Project! I was very impressed with all of the creative presentations.

FISH TESTS- All of our students have passed the 0-12 tests! Yeah! I told the students that we would continue to have random fish tests from now until the end of the year. They won’t necessarily be on a daily basis like they were this past nine weeks. Students should continue reviewing their facts every night. They need a very strong foundation for all of the math that they will be doing in the future.

ACCELERATED READER- All students need to have a MINIMUM of 10 AR points this nine weeks. Get started early!

IN SCHOOL FIELD TRIP- We will be having our In School Environmental Field Trip on Tuesday. The ladies from Cobb County Parks and Recreation Dept. will be working with the students.

SCIENCE LAB- We will be having our first lesson in the Science Lab on Wednesday. I am excited about the enrichment the students will be receiving.

NO SCHOOL- We will not have school next Monday, January 19th , due to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday.

ART LESSON- We will have an art lesson this Friday. Many thanks to Mrs. Dennehy and Mrs. Carraway for donating their time.
