NEWSLETTER MRS. TURNER DEC. 13-17
7 MINUTE TIMED TEST- Students will have the opportunity to take a 7 minute timed test on Tuesday and again on Thursday. They should be easier now that the students know their multiplication facts. Please help your child prepare.
AR- Students who have met the AR goal for this nine weeks will get to participate in a special celebration on Thursday with Mrs. McElhannon. Students technically have until Friday afternoon to get the 10 AR points. Students are writing the current number of points in their agendas today. Please encourage your child if she/he has not met the goal yet.
HOT CHOCOLATE- Mrs. Harp is having a special hot chocolate session with the students on Tuesday at 10:45.
BOOK BUDDIES- We will be meeting with our Book Buddies on Wednesday at 9:00.
HOLIDAY PARTY- Come and celebrate with us on Friday from 12:00-1:00. Please contact Beth Kriebel if you would like to help with donations for the party.
GEOMETRY QUILT- Quilts are due this Thursday. Each section should be labeled with the geometric term. The quilt sections should be neat and colorful. Have fun!

SPELLING- Adding –ing to words/ Assessment on Thursday/ Spelling Bee on Friday
READING- We will continue reading and discussing The Best Christmas Pageant Ever/ Activities to go with the book /Book Buddies / AR reward
ENGLISH-DOL Quiz / Benchmark Test over first and second quarter information –Tuesday / Check various GUMS pages
MATH- Benchmark Test over second quarter information- Wednesday / Timed Tests on Tuesday and Thursday / Fish Tests every day- Two day rotation now/ Share geometry quilts
SOCIAL STUDIES- Paul Revere- Use K-W-L to remember information / Discuss major mountain ranges and major rivers in the United States. In the agenda,write the name of the river that separates the eastern part of the US from the western part.
