SALT/DOUGH MIXTURE- Please make your salt/dough mixture tonight and bring it to school tomorrow. We will be using it for a special project. We only have two helpers tomorrow and three next Tuesday. If any parents are able to come tomorrow at 12:00 or next Tuesday at 12:00 please let me know.
RELAY FOR LIFE FUNDRAISERS- Please mark your calendars for the following Relay For Life Fundraisers:
March 16-P.J. Day / March 30-Hat Day / April 13- Favorite Sports Team Day / April 27- Crazy Sock
Please make a $1.00 donation on each of these days in order to participate.
SPRING PICTURES- We will be taking spring pictures on Thursday. Order forms are coming home today.
ST PATRICK’S DAY SNACK- We will be having a special snack on Friday.
BOOK FAIR- Please join us for our Book Fair March 19-23.
END OF NINE WEEKS- The third nine weeks ends this Wednesday. Report cards will be sent home next Wednesday.
MATH SURVEYS- Surveys were sent home with some students last week. Please fill out the survey and return them to school as soon as you can.
SUBJECT MATTER
SPELLING- We are working on compound words again this week. An assessment will be given on Friday.
ENGLISH/WRITING- Persuasive writing will be our main focus this week./ The Language Arts Benchmark Test will be given on Wednesday.
READING- We will be using our Buckle Down books to practice various reading skills./ Fluency tests will be done on each student this week/New reading logs were passed out today./Time For Kids will be read this week/ St. Patrick’s Day logic/ Nonfiction text features will continue to be discussed
MATH- We will continue reviewing this week for the Benchmark Test which will be given on Friday./ A 7 minute timed test will be given on Wednesday
SOCIAL STUDIES-Landforms will be our main focus this week. If you read all of this, please write the name of the river that separates the eastern part of the United States from the western part.
